M.A.P. Packing List
What to Bring:
- Long pants and shirts with sleeves (old clothes) to work in every day
(for safety reasons, shorts and tank tops are not allowed on the worksite) - Casual Clothes for Evening Activities
- Any medications you are currently taking
- (these MUST be turned in to your Group Leader with instructions)
- Dance attire (Dance theme: Hawaiian – hula shirts, tie-dye, grass skirts, etc. NO bathing suits allowed.)
- Pajamas/night clothes
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Towels/wash cloths
- Toiletries
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Hat
- Insect repellant
- Bible/Pen/Pencil
- Work Boots
- Flip flops/sandals for showers (NOT worn at work site)
- Tennis shoes
- Rain gear
- Water bottle
- Work gloves
- Day pack to carry your tools and water bottle
- Hammer, Utility Knife, 2 construction pencils, 25 ft. tape measure
Everything you bring will go home with you unless you donate it to M.A.P.
Recommended:
- Cot or air mattress (single bed size or share double with your friend of same gender and grade)
- Goggles or safety glasses
- Journal
- Flashlight
- Knee pads
- Alarm clock
- Camera/film
- Bandana
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
- Cell phones, iPods, iPhones, iTouch, personal CD/DVD players, handheld gaming devices, etc.
- Firearms, alcohol, drugs, or fireworks
- Candy and gum
- Anything that is of great value and that you don’t want lost, stolen, or broken
M.A.P. is not responsible and will not be held liable for anything stolen that is on the contraband list.
